About the Course

We offer City of Edina responsible alcoholic beverage server online training. This course is designed to promote the legal and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Edina, Minnesota.

Responsible beverage server certification is required for anyone selling alcoholic beverages in a store or serving drinks in a bar or restaurant. Servers, including waiters, bartenders, and their managers who complete this training are more successful in stopping under age drinking and in recognizing the signs of intoxication.

Certificate of Completion

Edina Server Training Requirements

Edina city code requires at least 75% of this employees who serve intoxicating beverages receive approved alcohol awareness training with 30 days of license approval, and annual training to be at least 75% of those employees who server intoxicating beverages at least 90 days prior to renewing an intoxicating beverage license.

Not less than seventy-five percent (75%) of the employees authorized to serve or sell wine or liquor on the licensed premises must complete an alcohol awareness program approved by the police chief within ninety (90) days prior to an application for license renewal for a wine license or an on-sale intoxicating liquor license.
