Illinois BASSET Alcohol Server Certification

This BASSET online alcohol certification course is required to obtain your Illinois BASSET certification card. This BASSET training course is designed to promote the legal and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Illinois and is valid for both On Premise and Off Premise certification.
BASSET certification, "Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training" was created by the State of Illinois to teach sellers and servers of alcoholic beverages the importance of serving alcohol responsibly. Bartenders, waiters, and their managers who complete this training are more successful in stopping underage drinking and in recognizing the signs of intoxication.
This responsible beverage course meets the requirements set forth by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission ILCC
Our Illinois BASSET course is a 5 hour interactive course with full audio narration and engaging real-world scenarios for the best user experience and information retention. This is an HTML based course that will work on your PC and mobile devices, like the iPhone and iPad.
Once you create an account you can log in from any computer or mobile device and train anytime, anywhere.
You have 6 months from enrollment to complete this course. You can log in and out of your training account and your place in the course will be saved.
After successfully completing this BASSET course and the 20 multiple choice question final exam, you will be able to print your temporary BASSET certification card from your own printer.

Official BASSET Card
Upon successfully completing the BASSET course final exam, you will be able to immediately print your temporary certificate. It will also be emailed to you. On a weekly basis, we submit BASSET completion records to the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC). The ILCC will issue your official BASSET card and mail it to you at the address you provided during registration.
Your Illinois BASSET certification is valid for 3 years from the date of course completion unless you work in a municipality where re-certification is required more often.
The BASSET certification card must be carried by the person whose name appears on the card and is the person selling and/or serving the alcoholic beverage.
New Basset Card Reprint Procedure as of July 1, 2015: You can now re-print your official Basset card directly from the ILCC. You will need the Student's Last Name, DOB, and their training student ID.
If you completed our "BassetPermit" course from January 1, 2013 through July 9, 2015, you will need to call or email our support team to get your Student ID.Here is the ILCC BASSET Card Reprint Link and then click "Print My Basset Card."
For any completions after July 9, 2015 the Student ID will appear on the temporary certificate that we issued. You can log back into your account to view that temporary certificate again.Any completions prior to 01/01/2013, please contact the ILCC for a re-print. To contact the ILCC regarding a replacement BASSET card for this period of time, please call 312-814-0773 or email ILCC@illinois.gov.
BASSET Training Requirements
BASSET alcohol training is not mandatory in the State of Illinois; however, some municipalities in the State of Illinois do require BASSET training. Check your local ordinances to see if BASSET alcohol training is required in order to be employed at a liquor establishment.
Starting July 1st, 2015 training will be mandatory in Cook County. To find out more information about this change in regulations, you can visit the ILCC website.
**All counties in Illinois will be required to have BASSET certifications by July 1, 2018.
BASSET Program Approval
Training providers must be approved by the ILCC. SureSellNow uses the approved BASSETpermit course that meets all the requirements of the State of Illinois. You can view the BASSETpermit.com program approval on the Illinois Liquor Control Commission website.
Illinois ANSI Food Handler Training - $12.95
This online food handler certification course focuses on safe food preparation and handling techniques and is intended for anyone that works in food preparation, storage, or service.
The course content is based on the the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Code. Upon completion of the course, you can immediately print your food handler certification.
This Food Handlers - Safety First Principles course was developed by National Registry of Food Safety Professionals for Food Handlers. This course is accredited by ANSI and is accepted by law in Illinois.
